Sandhurst Skits for 27 April 2019

24 Apr 2019 by Sandhurst Football Netball Club

The netballers flew the flag this week winning 4 out of 5 matches with just B Reserve going down by 5 losing 44-49. All other teams had solid wins. Scores were A Grade- 72-34, A Reserve 57-40, B Grade 70-28 and the 17’s 70-33. Jessica Watson played her 100th game for the club last weekend. Jess summed up our thoughts just perfectly “wouldn’t ever play anywhere else!” We love having you as part of our club too, Jess. Congratulations!

On the football field the boys struggled against more accountable opposition. The Seniors lost 12.17.89 to 6.7.43, the Reserves went down 18.17.125 to 7.2.44 while the Under 18’s battled hard but were overrun by the Storm 10.11.71- 3.6.24. In the Seniors congratulations to debutants James Mittell, Charlie Robinson and Joel Condon. A chance to atone this week with a QEO clash against arch rival South Bendigo.

Congratulations to the Dragons own Joel Selwood who qualified for AFL life membership on the weekend. A fantastic ambassador for his family, his club and his hometown. Joel topped off his big day with a win against the Hawks and best afield honours.

Keep this date free- the clubs major fundraiser for the year will be held at the Rifle Brigade Hotel on Friday 17th May.
