For the Graeme Wright Trophy the boys pulled together one of their best performances in a long while to rack up a memorable victory. A late Friday night exit of Andy Collins and then the early game injury to Yak Ross didn’t help matters but several youngsters really stood up to record a solid all the way victory. Will Holt displayed his obvious talent having a hand in 4 of the first 5 first term goals. Zac Pallpratt, Josh Hann, Jed Zimmer, Nick Stagg and the ever reliable Isaac Ruff were also named in the best. The club’s injury list at the moment has seen Bryce dragging them from the trees. The boys battled hard but a solid South outfit recorded a massive 20 goal victory. Named in the best were Paddy O’Farrell, Ben Edwards, Angus Dickson, Hayden Gillingham, Hugh Molenaar and Jasper Stewart.

U18’s – our boys were never really challenged by South, in a game that struggled to get the crowd invested in the contest. Zac Sims showing good form with unselfish play feeding into the forwards. Noah Walsh strong at the ball, lifting his efforts further after a heavy tackle mid-game. Caleb Connick using his leap to take some strong marks and kick 4 goals. Henry Bombardieri likewise showing good form overhead, sticking many contested marks. Isaac Carracher was consistently hard at the ball and out marking taller opposition on several occasions. A broadly consistent contribution across the entire squad however some kicking practice in order for our lads with goals and behinds in equal measure 15-15!

Senior Netball
An awesome team effort in A Grade. We backed each other up all game and caused turnovers. Our attackers rewarded the hard efforts of our defenders. Amazing team effort. Better players – Erica Dalrymple-Monro, Ruby Turner and Heather Oliver. A Reserve got off to a slow start but the girls combined well to come away with a great win. Defensive pressure in transition was the highlight of the game. Madi back in the defensive circle got us back in the game and our goalers rewarded the turnovers. Best on – Madi Sexton, Kelsey Ralph, Gabriella Greene.

B Grade provided great defensive with intercepts and great drives onto the ring capped off with superb feeding into our goalers. Best players were Sarah Chalmers, Abbey McCarthy and Briona Giddings. B Reserve – South started strongly making the first quarter a tough battle. The second quarter our girls started to pull away leading by a handful at the long break. Despite an injury (hope you’re okay Ruby Walsh) the girls managed to pull away in the third quarter, beginning the final term with a convincing lead. Solid passages of play and second and third efforts led to a solid win. Best players Emily Patterson, Mia McConnachie and Chloe Hann.

In the 17’s South started strong and tested us for the first half then we absorbed this pressure and began to lift in the second half. Our defenders were very disciplined all game and our goalers were consistent for 4 quarters. Better players Tess Keating, Holly Lockhart & Bronte McConnachie
